Submit Your Story

Submit Your Story

Submit Your Story to help another Nigerian parent feel informed, represented or less alone.

Stories we consider

We welcome thoughtful first-person accounts about pregnancy, parenting stages, education, special needs, family life, work, relocation, cultural identity and raising Nigerian children abroad.

Before you submit

  • Send original work that you have the right to publish.
  • Protect children: change unnecessary identifying details and obtain appropriate permission for photographs or sensitive stories.
  • Do not name or accuse private individuals without strong documentation and editorial discussion.
  • Separate personal experience from medical, legal or financial claims.
  • Disclose relevant commercial relationships or conflicts.

What to include

Provide a proposed title, 500–1,500 words, a short biography, your location or diaspora context if relevant, and any links or sources needed to verify factual claims. Tell us whether your name may be published.

Editing and rights

Submission does not guarantee publication or payment. Accepted work may be edited for clarity, length, accuracy, safety and house style. You retain ownership while granting the publication licence described in our Terms of Use.
